Directions to Meet Venues
(Disclaimer: Take a map. We have acquired some of these directions
third-hand or on-line, and there may be some subtleties we have missed!)
Albany Academy - 135 Academy Road, Albany, NY 12208 Map It!
Armory Track and Field Center, New York City
Take the New York State Thruway south and across the Hudson River on the Tappan
Zee Bridge. Off the bridge, stay on NYS Thruway (I-87). Take Saw Mill Parkway
South about 8-9 miles when it merges with Henry Hudson Parkway. After a toll
bridge go about 2 miles --as you go under the George Washington Bridge, take
exit 14/15 to Riverside Drive south. Turn left at 165th Street, go up hill.
Next street is Fort Washington Ave. Left on Fort Washington, Armory will be
on the right at first traffic light. (parking lot at Ft. Wash & 165th st.) About
145 miles; allow 3 hours.
Averill Park High School, 146 Gettle Road, Averill Park, New York 12018

I-90 East to exit 8 (Defreestville). Ramp becomes Rt. 43. Follow it east about
8 miles. Left on Gettle Road to Averill Park High School. (About 15 miles from
Delmar, allow about 30 minutes.)
Ballston Spa High School - 220 Ballston Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 Map It!
Additional parking near football field behind HS (continue north on Ballston Ave. to Garrett Rd, take left, see middle school lot and football field on left).
Bethlehem Central High School - 700 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054 Map It!
From the New York State Thruway:
Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 23. Immediate right exit after toll onto
Route 9W. Follow 9W one mile, stay right onto Delmar By-Pass (Route 32). Follow
the Delmar By-Pass to the T-intersection at the end (last 1/2-mile is 2-lane).
Take a right on VanDyke. The track is about 1/2-mile down the road on the right.
From the Northway I-87 South:
Take the Route 90 East exit from the Northway. Stay on Route 90 East until the
Slingerlands/Route 85 exit (exit 4). Follow Route 85 West passing straight through
all rotaries and continue onto Route 140 East. At the following stop light
(intersection of Kenwood Avenue and Cherry Avenue) go straight. Turn left onto
Delaware Avenue, the high school is on the left.
Bethlehem: Elm Avenue Town Park, 261 Elm Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054
Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 23. Immediate right exit after toll Rt 32 S
(proceed 3.2 miles). Turn left at Elm Ave. Park entrance is 0.3 miles on left.
Follow park road clockwise around swimming pool complex. Races start near large
pavilion at end of park road.
Boston University, Case Athletic Center, Boston MA
Take the New York State Thruway south to Exit 21A for the Berkshire Spur (signs
to Boston). Continue on the Berkshire Spur to the state line and continue on
the Mass Pike to Boston. Take Exit 18 for Brighton/Cambridge; exit left. Follow
signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights. Turn right at the lights onto
Soldiers Field Road, which becomes Storrow Drive. Follow signs to Boston University
onto University Rd., turn right on Commonwealth Ave., go 6/10 of a miles and
turn right on Babcock St. Case is at 285 Babcock. Approx. 170 miles; allow 3
hours.
Bowdoin Park - 85 Sheafe Road, Wappingers Falls, NY (Town of Poughkeepsie)

Take the Thruway South to Exit 18 (New Paltz-Poughkeepsie). Bear right after
toll booth on MAIN ST - go 0.9 mi. MAIN ST becomes RT-299 EAST - go 4.2 mi.
Turn Right on US-9W - go 1.8 mi. Continue on US-9W/US-44 - go 0.5 mi. Continue
towards RT-55/US-44/MID HUDSON BRIDGE - go 0.4 mi. Continue on US-44 EAST -
go 1.8 mi. Bear Right to take US-9 South towards HYDE PARK/WAPPINGERS FALLS
- go 5.0 mi. Turn Right on SHEAFE RD - go 2.7 mi to park

From points east or south:
Take Route 787 North. Stay on 787 past all of the Troy exits, and do not take the Bennington, Vt., exit. Turn left at the third set of traffic lights (Bridge Avenue). Drive over the railroad tracks. Bear left onto Columbia Street. Drive past Middle School and turn right at second light after Middle School onto Simmons Avenue. Take the next left (a four-way stop) onto Elm Street and continue straight to the High School.
From points north or west:
Follow the Northway (Route 87) to Cohoes (Exit 7) and bear right at end of ramp onto Route 9N. After 1/4 mile, turn right at first traffic light onto Route 9R. Go straight at the next light, past Latham Ford. Continue on Route 9R, which becomes Columbia Street. Turn left onto Simmons Avenue at the third traffic light. At a four-way stop, turn left unto Elm Street. Go straight to the High School.

Colonie Town Park
Take I-787 North to Route 7 West exit (sign for Saratoga Springs). Exit for
Routes 9 and 9R. At traffic light take a left onto Route 9 North. After 2 miles (beyond Guptil's Arena and opposite entrance to Boght baseball fields, take a left
onto Old Loudon Rd then left on Schermerhorn Rd. (there is a
small Colonie Town Park sign). Proceed to Town Park (entrance
on right).
Columbia High School - 962 Luther Road, East Greenbush, NY 12061 Map It!
Take NY-32 N, LEFT onto US-9W, Merge onto I-787 N. Merge onto I-90 E via EXIT 5
toward BOSTON. Merge onto TROY RD / US-4 S via EXIT 9 toward EAST
GREENBUSH. Turn LEFT at light onto LUTHER RD / NY-151. The school is 0.7 mi. on the left
immediately past I-90 underpass.
Guilderland High School - 8 School Road, Guilderland, NY 12085 Map It!
Go out New Scotland Road past Slingerlands and turn right onto 85A at Stonewell
Plaza. At Voorheesville turn tight onto Route 156 West. At "Y" bear
right onto Route 208. When 208 ends, bear left onto Route 201. Take first right
past former Arsenal site onto Route 202 (School Rd.). The school is on the right.
Hudson Valley Community College, the Edward F. McDonough Sports Complex,
Troy, NY
Take 32 (Bypass) East to 9W North to I-787 North. Follow 787 about 6 miles to
exit 7E for Rte. 378 East. Over bridge bear right to Rte. 4 south and continue
for 1 mile to the campus on your left. Take a left on North Road, which leads
to the Edward F. McDonough Sports Complex.
Knox Junior High School, Johnstown, NY - 400 South Perry St, Johnstown, NY 12095 Map It!
Follow the Thruway WEST to Exit 28 - Fonda-Fultonville. Take left off Exit 28.
Follow to bridge over Mohawk River. Cross bridge and follow to traffic light
(Main St.) Take left at light. Follow to Stewarts. Take right on Route 30A and
follow north to Johnstown. At South Perry St., take left. Knox Field and Junior
High School located in second block.
Maple Ski Ridge
NYS Thruway west to exit 25A to I-88. Bear Right on to exit 25 Rotterdam/Schenectady
ramp. Left on to Rte.7 East, then Left on to Rte. 337. Turn Left on to Rte.
159 West. 3 miles on the Left. (Map
on their web site.)
Mohonasen High School
Take NYS Thruway west to Exit 25 (Schenectady). Just beyond the overpass, take
exit for Route 7 West. The school complex is about 1.5 miles on the left.

I-87 (Northway) to Exit 6. Turn left onto Route 7 West towards Schenectady.
Travel 6 miles to Mohegan Rd. Turn right onto Rosendale Rd. The school complex
is 0.4 miles on the left.
Queensbury High School - 431 Aviation Road, Glens Falls, NY 12804 Map It!

Take I-87, the Northway, north to Exit 19. go left on Aviation Road and the
high school is the 2nd building on your right. Apprx. 1 hour 15 minutes.
Rome Invitational - Rome Free Academy - Rome, NY 12xxx
RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), Troy, NY
Take 32 (Bypass) East to 9W North to I-787 North. Take 787 to exit 9E for Route
7/Collar City Bridge. Follow Hoosick Street up the hill and turn right on 15th
Street, after the Troy Plaza Shopping Center. Follow 15th Street; watch for
the Troy Armory. The pool is adjacent to the Armory. Parking is available in
the lot adjacent to the Armory or on the street.
Sand Creek Middle School
Route I-787 North to I-90 West. Take the Everett Road exit and turn right at
the top of the ramp. Turn left onto Sand Creek Road and go west about 1 3/4
miles; the school will be on your right.
Saratoga Spa State Park - 19 Roosevelt Drive, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Map It!
I-87 North. Exit 13N. Take Route 9 north for 3 miles to park, on left. (Allow
about 55 minutes.)
Saratoga Springs High School - 1 Blue Streak Blvd, Saratoga Springs,
NY 12866 Map It!
Take exit 13N from the Northway (I-87) At the fifth traffic light (3.2 miles)
turn left onto West Fenlon Street. Go through one traffic light at Route 50
and continue to the stop sign. At the stop sign, turn right onto West Avenue.
Take the next right into the high school campus.
Schenectady Central Park
(Grout Invitational)
Thruway west to exit 25 onto I-890 North. Take exit 7 onto Route 7 East. After
about 4 or 5 lights, turn left onto Golf Road, which takes you into Central
Park. Follow the crowds to the starting line.
Shaker High School - 445 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110 Map It!

Tawasentha Town Park, Route 146 in Guilderland
(Guilderland Invitational)
West on Western Avenue (Route 20). Travel 2-3 miles. Left on Route 146. Go 1-2
miles. Entrance to park will be on left.
University at Albany, SUNY, Recreation and Convocation Center (RACC), Albany,
NY
Take 85 East to Route20/Western Ave. exit. At stop sign at end of exit ramp,
make a left. Make next left on Western Ave. Follow Western one mile to the ninth
traffic light at which campus entrance is on your right (just past a Mobil station).
After you turn into campus, make a left. Recreation and Convocation Center (RACC)
will be on right.
Van Cortlandt Park, The Bronx - 6115 Broadway, New York, NY 10471 Map It!
(Manhattan and Fordham Invitationals)
I-87 South over Tappan Zee Bridge; go approximately 20 miles after bridge and
exit at Van Cort Park South exit. Make right at traffic light, then bear right
onto Broadway (you'll be parallel to elevated train). Go through 2 traffic lights
and Van Cortlandt Park parade grounds are on right. Parking is generally on street
and challenging to find, so leave extra time.
Warwick HS/MS & Sanfordville Elementary School
(BIG PURPLE WAVE-MANIA X-COUNTRY FESTIVAL)
NYS Thruway to Harriman (Woodbury) Exit (approx. 90 miles) [right exit before main
Thruway toll barrier]. Take Route 17 West to exit 127 (Sugar Loaf). At light go
straight onto Kings Highway. Stay on Kings Highway to Village of Warwick. At light
make a left into business district. At next light make right onto West Street.
Travel approximately 3/4 mile to next light. Travel straight through light.
HS/MS with general race parking on left, for Sanfordville Elementary -- Continue
past high school on West Street Extension 1/8 mile. Take left onto Sanfordville
Road. Field is 1/2 mile on right, far side of Sanfordville Elementary School.
Shuttle buses may be available between HS and Elementary School. (Allow 2.5 hrs)
Washingtonville High School - 54 W. Main St., Washingtonville, NY
NYS Thruway to Exit 17 Newburgh (approx. 83 miles). Turn right onto Route 17K.
Go about 500 feet to light (Union Avenue). Turn Left at light. At third or fourth
light make a left on 207 to Vails Gate. Routes 300 and 207 continue together
for a bit; go straight ahead on 300 where 207 goes off to the left. At Vails
Gate turn right on Route 94 (Dunkin' Donuts at corner). Travel about 6 miles
to Washingtonville Go straight through village. HS is second school on the right
Park on top of hill behind the High School. (99 miles; allow 2 hours) (Corrected

Williams College, Williamstown, MA
Take 32 (Bypass) East to 9W North to I-787 North. Take 787 to exit 9E for Route
7/Collar City Bridge. Route 7 east to Route 278 Turn right on Rt. 278 to Route
2 Turn left on Route 2 east to Williamstown. About 45 miles; allow 1 1/2 hours.
Yale University Coxe Cage, New Haven, CT
Take the New York State Thruway south to Exit 21A for the Berkshire Spur (signs
to Boston). Continue on the Berkshire Spur to the state line and continue on
the Mass Pike to Springfield. Take Exit 4 onto I-91 and follow it to New Haven.
Take Exit 1 (Downtown) off of I-91 and follow Route 34 to the Yale Fields. About
155 miles; allow 2 3/4 to 3 hours.
